Bug Quilt Finally Coming Together

This quilt has already been a long time in the making and there are still many hours work to go till it's done, but I think it is well worth it! I'm loving all the different blocks put in together and the many different fabrics. Some of my blocks I wasn't too sure on when I first made them, but they have all come together now and I am so pleased with the result. It was a bit of a puzzle putting it all together with all of the different shapes and sizes of my blocks, but that just makes it all the more interesting in my opinion.

I still need to put a face on the caterpillar and decide on a border before it will be ready to sandwich and quilt, but just having it all together now is so satisfying. I managed to surprise myself many times in the piecing of this quilt. Sometimes over how perfect my points and corners were, and sometimes by how far off they were!

What I love most about this quilt so far is all the fun, bright colours... and the snails of course! Hopefully soon I'll have my border worked out so I can start the quilting, though with all the different blocks in this quilt I haven't yet decided exactly how to quilt it, I'm sure I'll come up with something though. Happy quilting!
